Fleet Fueling Facts

No doubt, these are challenging times.  In our wildest dreams who would have thought that GM could go under, things like that shake our confidence to the bone.  But as a small business, how do you prepare for these tough times?  Unfortunately, there are no easy answers, but there are answers.  Here are some suggestions from industry sources.

  1. Do not ignore training.  Examine what kinds of training might represent an investment in your company and your employees.  New fields of opportunity are developing around the “green” initiative and you could position your company to be first in line for business.  A big plus is the message you send to your employees that you are investing in their future as well as your business.
  2. Increase Marketing.  This is a tough one.  Spending money on marketing sounds counterproductive, but re-examine your focus of those dollars and rethink your target.  Most new business comes from existing customers or referrals, so focus those precious dollars to creating relationships and providing good solid customer service.  Keep your name in front of both prospects and existing customers.
  3. Support Your Industry. Difficult times are the wrong time to sever membership and support of your trade associations.  The educational and advocacy provided by these groups can help you survive the tough times and make you stronger for the future.

All the best and thank you for your confidence in Fuelman of DFW.

Local Customer Service.  As you know, we provide full internet access (at no charge) to all your account functions, but some folks like to talk to “real” people for help with their account management.  It’s nice when you can talk to someone that speaks “Texan” and we can do that with our Customer Service Center right here in Fort Worth.  So, do not hesitate to give us a call during business hours and we will gladly help you with any issues or services questions,,, Texas Style!!

New Maps.  New maps should be available in the next 3 weeks.  Most of you utilize our web page for up to date locations and mapping, but for those of you needing maps, they are being printed now.  Let us know if you need some!

Be sure and contact customer service or your account representative for details.
